Content and Context

"We don't see things as they are, we see things as we are." This quote means more than just perspective. As a teacher, we constantly seek to make sure our students understand what we are teaching. But many fail to realize that students don't see things the same way as us. We cannot teach content out of context. And students cannot understand content without relating to it somehow. As tutors, we are in a unique position to make content relevant to your child so they can understand what they need to in a way that makes sense to them. And we have the one to one and time to change the way we teach the content to ensure they understand before moving on. We'd love to hear your thoughts on this. Please comment and take part in our discussion.
